This site aims to provide information for the Parishioners of St John the Baptist church in Uddingston.

Formed in October 1883 the Parish has been at the centre of the Catholic community for some 125 years and has a long tradition of service to the residents of Uddingston and further afield.

Medjugorje Pilgrimages 2010

Next years pilgrimages take place on the 26th June and 9th Oct 2010.

Cost of the Pilgrimages will be £499, however, if you book and pay in full by 3rd Jan 2010 you will recieve a £90 discount making the total cost £409.

John the Baptist Uddingston supporting Mary’s Meals
Within the parish we have a group who help to provide the focus for our support of the charity Scottish International Relief and, more specifically, their Mary’s Meals school feeding program.

Mary’s Meals provides daily meals to chronically hungry children in their local school. In this way the hungry child is encouraged to attend school and, through education gain a better future for himself and his communities.

The group meets on Tuesday evening, twice per month, to pray for the work of the charity and to discuss how we as a parish can provide best support. The group is also active in helping to coordinate fund raising efforts within the parish.
