After much prayer and consideration we are very happy to announce that this week we offered our youth and evangelisation officer post to Raymond Kawase. Many of you have already met Raymond who is from Uganda and who was part of the Craig Lodge team that led our mission in Lent. He is an outstanding candidate and a lovely, faith filled inspiring young man who has spent the last 3 years working as a catholic missionary with young people.

There is still much to be done especially with respect to getting a visa and helping and supporting Raymond as he transitions to this new role. We estimate that his may take a few months to sort out but we hope to have him in post fully by the start of the new school term. In the meantime he will live in the Presbytery.

Please join me in making Raymond feel welcome and praying for this new ministry within our parish. May God continue to bless Raymond and our parish community as we strive to be a beacon of faith in these troubled times. – Fr Ivan
