Divine Renovation – PARISH OPEN HOUSE HERE 25 APRIL

We are blessed to share our parish renewal journey at our open house here on Sat 25 April from 0930-1700. Bishop Joe and at least one of the other Scottish bishops are coming as we try to showcase to the whole Scottish church how parish renewal can work here in Scotland. We are also blessed to have as the keynote speaker Fr James Mallon the founder of Divine Renovation. We hope and pray that this can be a day of great blessings for our Parish and the whole Catholic community here in Scotland.

I think we all know that we need to, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, reach out as the popes have repeatedly suggested to try and renew the Church in the New Evangelisation. We have been very blessed so far in our journey of renewal with Divine Renovation and the aim of this day is twofold.

1) to share those blessings and encourage the wider Catholic community in our country.

2) to continue to develop our own parish in its missionary renewal journey.

We hope this day can play a huge part in both of these aims.

With this in mind we need your help:

Firstly pray for the success of this day and for renewal across Scotland and in our parish and dioceses. Secondly – if you can help in any way on the day please sign up on the volunteer sheet in the porch. We are particularly looking for people to help with hospitality/welcoming, supporting the tech elements in the background, publicising the event and a number of other roles. Thirdly please sign up to come along and participate on the day as well as encourage your friends from other parishes to come. The sign up can be done online using the following QR code. The day will start with prayer and an introduction. Have Fr Mallon as keynote speaker, then lead into 3 workshops on evangelisation, youth/family, and Music.

And will conclude with Bishop Joe leading us in the Vigil Mass at 1600. Lunch will be provided so we are asking people to please use the registration form so we can get numbers for catering purposes.
