The Bishops’ Conference of Scotland’s Office for the Care of Creation along with Justice & Peace Scotland and SCIAF invite you to join them on Thursday 14th November for a mass to pray for the success of the United Nations COP29 climate summit,
taking place in Azerbaijan.

COP29 will see leaders and activists gathering from all over the world in Baku from Nov 11th – Nov 22nd to address the
climate crisis. We will come together in Glasgow to pray that they may make decisions and advance actions that
prioritise people and planet and that safeguard our common home.
The mass will be celebrated by Archbishop William Nolan, President of both Justice & Peace Scotland and the
Office for the Care of Creation. It will take place in St Andrew’s Cathedral at 1300, followed by refreshments in Eyre Hall and
a chance to hear from SCIAF’s Ben Wilson who will join us live via video call from Azerbaijan to share his experiences of
attending COP29.

The Parish Justice & Peace Group extend a warm invitation to parishioners to participate in ViewCare’s tradition of
gifting Christmas Hampers to those in need. There are sign-up forms at the back of the church for those wishing to help in this worthy cause, with J&P members on hand to answer any questions. Many thanks in anticipation!
