I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the youth group to say a very sincere thank you to everyone in the parish for your prayers and generosity in supporting our parish youth attend the recent Medjugorje International Youth Festival.

Twenty of us had the blessing of taking part in an incredible week

of faith, friendship and unforgettable experiences.

Throughout the week we climbed Apparition Hill and Cross Mountain, took part in the Marian procession, Veneration of the Cross, lit candles and celebrated Holy Mass joining thousands of young people from around the world. We also had the privilege of representing Scotland by proudly carrying the Scottish flag throughout the many different celebrations.

Much more than a ‘trip’, it was a week of prayer, joy and growing in faith and was beautiful witnessing the youth experience the Church in such a positive and powerful way.

Thank you to everyone who helped make all of this possible by investing in our own youth of the parish of which we are truly grateful. Please keep them in your prayers as they continue in their faith journeys.

A special thanks also for the Parish Adult Mentors who willingly gave of their time to enable the week to happen by supporting the youth.
