Assisted Suicide

Pro life group thank parishioners for their prayers and support in our campaigning against assisted suicide. Along with 10000 letters and the prayers of so many people we have been successful in defeating this evil bill. Stephen Kerr spoke in the debate and argued against assisted suicide and along with Meghan Gallagher, Graham Simpson, Richard Leonard and Mark Griffin, all voted against the bill. Monica Lennon and Stephanie Callaghan also spoke in the debate supporting assisted suicide and along with Gillian McKay voted in favour of assisted suicide.

Abortion up to birth

Sadly the Lords did not support the amendments to prevent abortions up to birth. We encourage all parishioners to join us in making all candidates in the forthcoming elections aware of the importance of pro life issues to parishioners of St John the Baptist.
